Burgoo: A savory stew made from a varying array of ingredients, often cooked in enormous iron kettles outdoor over an open flame. The center of the burgoo universe is Owensboro, where more than 1500 gallons of it are served up at the annual International Bar-B-Q Festival.

Mint Julep: The official drink of the Kentucky Derby, As a result, over 80,000 are served over the two-day event. A true julep is simply Bourbon, water, fresh mint and a little sugar.
