Part II, July 2004 - We've Been Everywhere
We went looking for adventure and a huge adventure we had. We ate crawdads in New Orleans, watched the moon rise over Lake Superior and smelled the creosote of the Painted Desert. We saw fiery autumn in the Smoky Mountains, waded in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico and slurped oysters on the docks in Cape Cod. The more of our country we rambled through, the more we appreciated what makes these United States so great.

During our travels, we realized that there isn’t just one, or even a handful, of really great places to live. There are lots of cities and towns that we could see ourselves happily calling home. In the end, we chose the vibrant, arty, authentic and affordable city of Portland, Maine. It’ll be odd waking to an alarm clock and knowing exactly which day of the week it is, but we’re excited to step back into the real world with a fresh outlook on our future.

If you know someone who wants to buy a 27’ travel trailer that’s been to all 48 states, let us know.
